  • NO pacemaker or magnetic devices/implants
  • NO retinol or topicals 7 days before
  • NO botox or fillers 2 weeks before
  • NOT pregnant or breastfeeding
  • NO oral steroids
  • NO medication that causes dermal hypersensitivity
  • NO metal implants/devices in TX area

IPL

  • PT should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, sunless tanning lotion/cream before and during course of treatment
  • NO sun 4 weeks before and 2 weeks after TX, UVA/UVB and SPF 30 before sun exposure
  • Shave 24 hours before TX
  • For PTS with hyperpigmentation-RX topical bleaching agent 4 weeks before TX

WAX

  • Wax- NO restinols/topical medication 7-10 days prior
  • NO tanning 7 days before waxing

*For best results- NO smoking and cut sugar & carbs in half 1 week after

  • NO makeup day of
  • CANNOT lay down for 3 hours after
  • NO alcohol for 24 hours after

  • NO menstrating or only very light
  • NO intercourse 3-5 days after TX
  • TX 4 weeks apart

  • NO lotions or deodorant day of
  • DOES NOT work on blonde, gray or red
  • NO tweezing, waxing or threading for 4 weeks prior
  • Shave the night before
  • NO sun exposure/tanning for 4 weeks prior for skin type 1-3 (ALEX)
  • NO sun exposure 2 weeks prior for skin type 4-6(YAG) darker skin
  • NEED to be aware of cold sore history
  • NO active acne/breakouts
  • NO steroids or antibiotics
  • NO topicals/retinol/retin A products for 7 days, including oral
  • NO LHR 2 weeks following laser genesis
  • CANNOT be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Spot treatment to be done, wait 24-48 hours to see if tissue reacts

  • NO dark skin unless use of hydroquinone and hydrate
  • Arnica gel bid post TX
  • NO tan 2 weeks after
  • NO sun tanning, tanning beds, spray tan or self tanners 4 weeks prior
  • Some medications or supplements may increase risk of bruising (VIT. E, ASPIRIN, AND FISH OIL)
  • Avoid TX that may irritate skin 1-2 weeks prior (waxing, depilatories)
  • History of herpes or cold sores may require anti viral RX prior to treatment

  • CANNOT be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • NO sun 48 hours before or after
  • NO retinol/topicals or oral antibiotics 7-10 days before or after
  • NO waxing or exfoliants 1 week after
  • NO extreme exercise after
  • History of cold sores may require RX
  • MEN DO NOT shave day before or day of peel

  • NO sun exposure 7 days prior
  • NO cancer present
  • CANNOT be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • BMI of 30% or less
  • CANNOT do TX over nodules
  • CANNOT treat over scars
  • FOR MEN shave area

VIPEEL

  • CANNOT be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • CANNOT have aspirin allergy
  • NO isotretinoin/Accutane for 6 months
  • NO chemotherapy or radiation
  • NO liver condition, immune disorders, active cold sores, inflamed skin with open wounds, or history or herpes simplex
  • NO Phenol allergy or hydroquinone allergy
  • IF IRRITATED, stay hydrated, use Vaseline, and stay out of wind/ cold

  • NO retinol or topicals 7 days before TX
  • NO makeup day of TX
  • Excess hair needs to be shaved
  • Avoid treatments that may irritate skin 1-2 weeks piror (ex. waxing depilatories)
  • Report any history of herpes or cold sores- may require an anti viral or RX prior

  • NO sun exposure 2 weeks before and after
  • NO topicals/retinol products 7 days before TX
  • Not recommended for darker skin types
  • MEN must shave area
  • History of cold sores may require RX

  • TRY TO AVOID CAFFEINE AND NICOTINE PRIOR TO, SMOKERS HEAL SLOWER AND IT MAY BE RECOMMENDED TO TAKE VIT. C
  • DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN, IBUPROFEN, OR ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES 2 WEEKS BEFORE, CONSULT PHYSICIAN IF PRESCRIBED BY THEM
  • AVOID VIT. E, FISH OIL, AND GREEN TEA FOR 10 DAYS BEFORE AND AFTER
  • NO ALCOHOL 48 HOURS PRE AND POST
  • PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU ARE TAKING ANTI-COAGULANT OR BLOOD PLATELET ANTI-AGGREGATION DRUGS)
  • IF YOU SUFFER FROM COLD SORES YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE ANTI-VIRAL MEDICIATION 3 DAYS BEFORE
  • NO HAIR COLOR FOR 3 WEEKS AFTER
