Laser Vein Treatment is a safe and effective way to treat unwanted visible spider veins, often located on the legs and face. It is minimally invasive with very little risk for side effects. Sclerotherapy is an effective treatment for reducing unsightly spider veins, blue leg veins and tiny facial veins. Results can be seen within two to six weeks of the initial procedure, and there's frequently no need for any recovery or downtime afterwards. You can expect minimal pain during your treatment session and you'll likely see some redness or bruising afterwards. However, once you've been given the all clear by your doctor you can get back to normal activities right away with only mild restrictions - avoid anything too strenuous for the first 24 hours following treatment. As with any medical procedure, safety is always a top priority, but there's no need to worry! This safely-performed procedure is typically used on legs and feet, and although it does pose some risks, they are minimal. The most common side effect is a short-lived reddening and local swelling of the skin which usually subsides within 24 hours. BEFORE THE TREATMENT
No sun tanning or self tanning for 4 weeks prior to treatment. This includes spray tans, tanning lotions, tanning beds, and sun exposure. Some medications or supplements may increase the risk for bruising. Consult with your physician before stopping any medications such as blood thinners, Vitamin E and Fish oil. Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1 week prior to treatment such as waxing, depilatories, etc.

AFTER THE TREATMENT
One may apply ice periodically or Arnica 1-2 times daily as bruising, redness, and minimal swelling may occur. Do not use a sauna or hot tub. Also, do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil or Aleve or Motrin. You will be advised by the medical provider as to when you may resume exercising
